Traffic Management/Snow Command Center

Austin AECOM provided Design-Build services for a new traffic and snow command center. The center features 24 dispatching consoles and state-of-the-art surveillance monitoring systems. Each console operation includes remotely located computers, two 20-ft LCD, KVM switch, Radio Dispatch Communication touch screen, Voice/PBX access. The monitoring system includes 28 foot display wall matrix, twelve 42-inch ceiling mounted retractable LCDs, three electrically moving horizontally 42-inch LCDs and five wall fixed LCDs.

UPS & Electrical Upgrade

Austin AECOM provided Design Build for UPS and Electrical Upgrade for 311 and 911 Centers. Scope of work included replacing existing Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) with two new 400 kVA systems and batteries. Also Installation of new Power Distribution Units (PDU’s) and Transient Voltage Surge Suppression devises (TVSS). Austin AECOM upgraded the electrical feed to three separate feeds with three Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS). The HVAC system was upgraded to suit the new upgraded UPS and power systems.
