Austin AECOM Earns Internationally-Recognized IS09001:2000 Certification
CHICAGO (March 5, 2007) – Austin AECOM recently achieved ISO9001:2000 certification for its work in facilities design and construction in the following markets: aviation, commercial, industrial, institutional, life science, and news and media, and renewable energy. ISO9001:2000 certification is the prestigious, internationally-recognized standard for quality management.
“Austin AECOM joins a small group of firms earning this distinction,” says Austin AECOM’s President and CEO Ken Terpin. “While the consistent quality of our work speaks for itself, the recognition of it – through the ISO9001:2000 seal of approval – is a tangible advantage for our clients. It means: we get the job done right.”
The ISO certification process is rigorous and three-phased: build and document your firm’s system; perform in accordance with the plan; and, pass a series of audits. ISO – the International Organization for Standardization – is responsible for maintaining that products, materials, services, systems, and people measure up to the specifications of a worldwide, relevant standard.
Austin AECOM and its four regional offices – Chicago, Denver, Houston, San Francisco – completed the ISO process and earned certification. Austin AECOM is part of the AECOM family of operating companies.
